Congratulations!!!

Last night (May 1st), the City Council by a vote of 7-0 (Eldridge, Stoakes absent), despite the comments of three people who spoke in opposition, approved Ordinance #7516 which will allow the Trinity Commons project to continue as proposed through to the next phase of the public review process.

Friends and Neighbors:

Trinity Commons is slowly working its way through the public process; thank you for your participation and suggestions. Since the encouraging comments of the Planning Board at the hearing on February 1, 2007, Trinity Lutheran Church has been working with City staff on a special ordinance that will assure Trinity Commons meets the common vision we all share for the project including 50% affordable housing and historic designation of the original church.

We wanted to let you know that the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the ordinance on Thursday, April 5, 2007, in the municipal building at the corner of Canyon and Broadway, starting at 6:00 pm. There will be an opportunity for the public to offer comments; please feel free to join us.

Linked below is more information about the upcoming meeting as well as details on the ordinance. For more information, please call Trinity Lutheran Church at 303-442-2300 or contact the Planning Department's project manager, Karl Guiler at 303-441-3270.
