Trinity built its first house in Juarez, Mexico in 1997 through Casas por Cristos, based in El Paso, Texas. In 2006, Trinity built 6 houses. Twice a year, usually in July and November, Trinity sends teams to Juarez to build houses.
Our dream of creating a relationship with 1 pastor, 1 congregation, 1 neighborhood, became a reality when we received a grant to buy property in Juarez. In 2005, Trinity established a not-for-profit organization in Mexico named Tierra d'Amor. We bought a parcel of land in Juarez, Mexico. With a partner congregation, Zion Lutheran Church in Tinley Park, Illinois, we are in the process of building 19 homes.
