CHILDREN'S MUSIC
EDUCATION MINISTRY
AGES K-5th GRADE
Trinity Lutheran Church ’s music department will unveil a new CHILDREN’S MUSIC EDUCATION MINISTRY this fall.We will be using the Royal School of Church Music’s "Voice for Life" curriculum, a graded music training program that will give children musical skills they can use the rest of their lives. In this new program, children ages K-5th grade will increase their musical understanding through the study of basic music theory, singing, chime ringing, and the learning of a broad range of music, both sacred and secular.
 |
The program will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 5 to 6 PM. Pizza will be served. The children will sing periodically during church services and will give a concert each semester.
Because of the high level of training and the commitment required to participate in it successfully, the fee structure will be $120/child of Trinity members/semester and $150/child of non-Trinity members/semester. Children from the community are invited and welcome, whether a member of Trinity or not. |
Included in the tuition cost are a workbook and materials that can be taken home, such as CDs that will help the children learn the pieces. There is also a plan to invest in new choir robes for the children. Professional children’s choir director Amy Potterton will be the director for this program.
Registration is beginning now and will continue through Wednesday, January 9th. The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, January 9th, at 5 PM in the Chapel. You may use the registration form below. Feel free to duplicate the form for all the children in your neighborhood, family, school, soccer team, etc.
